I am a specialist in teaching somatic behaviour. In addition to specific skills such as handstanding, tumbling and acrobatics and I can offer private instruction all aspects of developing physical abilities such at flexibility, strength, and stability regardless of whether it is for corrective/rehabilitative or elite level developmental purposes.

Class Descriptions
Bending Backwards (90min) *Has prerequisites
The goal of this class is to aid you in progressing your ability to bend backwards within the context of nurturing skills that support dynamic aerial and acrobatic applications such as hollow-back handstands, walkovers, limbers, handsprings, etc.
Paramount will be a focus on body awareness and progressive development of the essential foundations. Instruction will include how to maintain functional integrity while in overhead arm support and spinal extension. It will address aspects of the skill that have been problematic and whose solutions have been elusive. You will get expert assessment and creative effective customized training approaches.
Prerequisites: Hold a 30 second handstand against a wall; a push-up to bridge with 30 second hold.
Handstands (90min)
This class is for those of you who want to improve your ability to balance a handstand longer, press a handstand, dial in your one-arm, and/or nurture posture variations. The goal of this class is to help you address aspects of your handstand journey that have been problematic and whose solutions have been elusive. You will get expert assessment and guidance. You will learn effective training approaches that will be safe to do on your own. Instructions will address all aspects of handstanding with a focus on body awareness and progressive development of the essential foundations.
Intro to handstands (30min)
This class is for those of you who want to improve your ability to balance a handstand longer, press a Can’t kick up to a handstand? Not sure your arms will support you? This is the class for you and anyone wanting to learn how to safely develop handstanding skills. Being able to support your body weight on your arms is an important and fundamental skill not only for acrobatics but also to minimize injuries during a fall. This class will show you simple, safe, and effective exercises that can be done with minimal to no assistance. Important approaches to wrist health and refining body awareness will be fully integrated into the exercises.
Neck Fitness (30min)
It is easy for us to take our necks for granted. Even though neck trauma is one of the most feared due to its catastrophic potential, it is uncommon to see its fitness addressed in athletic training regimes. Neck fitness can help reduce the likelihood of whiplash type traumas as well as issues such as lightheadedness and upper limb impairment. Come learn techniques to build strength and resilience to support safe use of this vital region.
PLE (Physical Limitation Elimination (120min)
PLE is for those who wish to increase functional range of motion and athletic proficiency. In this fun and challenging class, you will not only development better body awareness and but also increase your range of motion, and strengthen the structures that provide control and stability especially while in your maximum ranges. This is an excellent stand-alone class and is essential for those who want to excel in their athletic training. This class emphasizes injury-free techniques that deliver the most effective results.
