ACCESSING THE AXILLA
Description:
This workshop will teach you how to give a general session for the axillary region and its associated structures. An emphasis will be placed on learning effective and delicate ways of working with this sensitive and often unaddressed region.
Techniques will progress starting with freeing the most superficial layers and proceed until we reach the deepest structures. Along the way, relevance of certain techniques to specific conditions will be noted. All regional structures will be addressed, including fascial, musculotendinous, neurovascular and articular.
ACCESSING THE HIP
Description:
This workshop will teach you how to give a general session for the hip and its associated structures. An emphasis will be placed on learning effective and delicate ways of working with the sensitive and often unaddressed region of the anterior hip.
Techniques will progress starting with freeing the most superficial layers and proceed until we reach the deepest structures. Along the way, relevance of certain techniques to specific conditions will be noted. All regional structures will be addressed, including fascial, musculotendinous, neurovascular and articular. Time will be devoted to accessing the abdominal iliopsoas.
NECK AND THROAT
Description:
This workshop will teach you how to give general and clinical sessions for the neck, throat and their associated structures. Going beyond the usual posterior neck instruction, an emphasis will be placed on learning effective and delicate ways of working with the sensitive and often unaddressed anterior region of the throat.
Techniques will progress starting with freeing the most superficial layers and proceed until we reach the deepest structures. Along the way, relevance of certain techniques to specific conditions will be noted. All regional structures will be addressed, including musculotendinous, neurovascular, fascial and articular structures.
Maximum Students Per Workshop: 12
Prerequisites: Previous instruction and/or experience in basic Tui Na or other manual therapies. Attendees need to be prepared to both give and receive treatment.
